Overnight Oats Recipe

If you're like most people, your morning routine is a bit, shall we say, rushed. Whether it's finishing up a presentation, packing lunches, or trying to tidy up the dishes from the night before, there's always something to do before you head out the door. Take breakfast off your morning to-do list with this easy, overnight oats recipe. You can personalize each jar with your favorite ingredients. Remember, there's no wrong way to do overnight oats. So, you do you when it comes to selecting the ingredients. With that thought in mind, here are three of our favorite flavorful combinations.

½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
½ cup milk (dairy or nut)
1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
Note: Add more milk or yogurt for a creamier version.

Go Bananas

½ banana, sliced
1 teaspoon chia seeds
+ starter ingredients

Berry Good

1 teaspoon honey
¼ cup fresh or freeze-dried raspberries, blueberries, or strawberries
1 teaspoon shredded coconut, optional
+ starter ingredients

Candy Bar Breakfast

2 ½ tablespoons peanut butter or almond butter
2 tablespoons chocolate chips
1 teaspoon chia seeds
+ starter ingredients

Add all ingredients into a sealable container. Stir until well combined and cover with a lid. Refrigerate overnight. Open the lid and stir the mixture. If necessary, add more milk. You can eat the oats cold or heat them in the microwave for 1 - 1 ½ minutes. Note: A starter mixture will keep 3-5 days in the refrigerator.
